Camping Info

Pack 7 almost always camps in family groups, with our cars nearby. It's not glamping, but it's not backpacking either. Below is a standard list of supplies and gear to bring along on a Pack 7 campout.

NOTE: Alcohol and tobacco use are prohibited at Scouting events.

PACK 7 CAMPING GEAR LIST

ESSENTIALS

  • Tent

  • Sleeping Bags

  • Sleeping Pads- These are important for comfort and also for better insulation at night.

  • Personal Mess Kits for Meals: Plates, Bowls, Cups, Utensils

  • Flashlights, Headlamps, Lanterns

  • Weather Appropriate Clothing- including layers for different temperatures, extra socks and underwear, headwear for evenings, hoodies and jackets. Be Prepared for changing weather.

  • Raingear

  • Personal First Aid Kit- bandages, ointments, antiseptics, etc.

  • Sun and Big Protection

  • Water/Water Bottles

  • Toiletries- Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap, Washcloth, Towel

  • Cash

OPTIONAL

  • Pillows

  • Folding Chairs

  • Pocketknives (Scouts must be Bears or older and have earned their Whittlin' Chip)

  • Swimwear if Appropriate

  • Compass/Map

  • Marshmallow Roasting Sticks
